According to Myers-Brigg, individuals can be broken down into 16 key personality types. Architects will come into contact, be paired  with, and design for one or all of these personality types. To emulate this, Professor Falkner had each student in class pick a personality type from a hat. Within a week’s time, students had to have researched and compiled a PowerPoint expressing their understanding of the personality type.
Students were then tasked with designing a seat for their assigned personality type that could be embodied by the design. I had the analytical and pattern based INTP personality type and decided to design a stool after the Fibonacci sequence. The INTP type stands for introversion, intuitive, thinking, and perception. I arrayed the sequence in a circle using the numbers 22 and 16, numbers in numerology that are closely connect with the INTP personality type. The stool was made of steel, with rough edges along the seat to represent the outward nature of the INTP personality.
I prototyped chairs in an attempt to see how thin I could make the legs of the chair while allowing the chair to still support weight. I also learned to weld while making this stool
